Went out of Crescent City for the first time with Fisheducator, Saw, Rock Monster, Tim's brother Kerry, and his nephew Shawn. We also met up with Sky Force, also from Redding. We couldn't ask for better weather, and the fishing was just as good. All of us caught a lot of blacks, hooked a bunch of Lings, one halibut, and one Devil fish salmon. I didn't catch the Devil fish obviously lol!
Tim and his family were still out halibut fishing so no pics of them, his nephew Shawn did catch the biggest fish 39" ling !!!  Had a great time with Family and friends !!! Can't wait to go back !!

Some places are good places to be from, and other places are good places to be. Crescent City is a good place to be. I'm glad you had a good time here.

Right on, Jeff and the NVS Crew!  I've fished a little out of there from both Castle Rock area and the harbor (years ago, pre-MLPA), and I've dove and speared a ling and got abs along Pebble Beach Drive.  The potential up there is outstanding for sure.  That's awesome that Skye scored on a salmon, and the lings that come out of there are Cape quality - a guy named Evan Anderson who has gone to some GS's with his fam got a 36" inch pig there this weekend too.

Way to do the work and the followup and pioneer CC for the yak possibilities.  Maybe an event up there at some point would be a thing...

A 2 day early October event in CC area would be amazing.  Klamath to Rogue and anything in between - lingcod, salmon, flatfish, rockfish, 2 states, chetco bubble fishery, 5 year fish in the smith, and otherwise a metric shitton of opportunity.  Would want to use iAngler or the like.  Committee forming now for 2019, who's in?
