I had never used an A-rig so after YouTubing it I bought an a rig and took it out on the deep water channel to see if I could catch a striper or LMB with it. I got skunked on the bass but did catch this beauty. I never associated steelhead with the DWC!

Nice catch!

Not surprised by their presents, but like you, I wouldn't really go to the DWC to target steelhead, lol.

Nice catch! Ya I mean the salmon run up there as well and you can actually do quite well at the locks. But in open water I'd say that's a damn lucky catch.

Oh yeah sturgeon striper salmon and steelhead go up and stop at the lock at the barge canal it's a good jiging spot in October
