Right, I can be so near sighted, “NorCal” land of the furrowed brow new age sensitive guy, and such serious cyclist patrons too, wow, really touching.

For the sympathists of cycling stupidity who can't handle a dramatic analogy, well, tough shit.

Vroom Vroom!

Nut Case.

Anyhow, overall a great trip, was able to experiment in the current, get some nice crab, learn a good lesson about not setting pots in narrow passages, and. . .didnt even hit a cyclist!

Good times right there.

I like to ride my bike.
Not too funny to hear NCKA'ers talk about killing bike riders.

Abe, you should apologize and reflect for your own good.

It is obvious from your initial post that you could benefit from the knowledge of those of us who have been doing this kayak fishing thing for a while.

Also, it's generally not a good idea to joke about murdering people.

Somewhere on some bowerboat forum an angry boater is talking about plowing the next kayaker he sees all because his prop got fucked up when some dipshit kayak crabber set his pots in a narrow channel without weighted lines.

Thanks, Jackass.

Dude, you need some counseling or something, before you actually do something stupid and end up in jail the rest of your life.  Using "dramatic analogies" that involve killing cyclists who are, whether you like it or not, legally on the road and taking the lane when there is no shoulder is not funny, it just shows how much of a damaged person you are.  Make a change before it's too late.  Nobody is beyond redemption so I'll hope for the best.

Or maybe another Darwin award adventure of your own design will just take you out of the gene pool, hopefully before you breed.

Some thoughts should not be put in writing.  Especially if you are trying to help someone see a different perspective.

I know there are a lot of cyclists and power boaters on this site.  So making analogies that would make either cringe is going to backfire.

I never want to stir crap up just for the sake of it but there are assholes in every walk of life and ones that kayak, Cycle and power boat.  I have seen all of them make mistakes and get angry over something the other has done.

The best I can do is suggest ways to do things differently so you donÂ’t make someone irate.  You just never know when someone might snap and bump you off the road or in the water.  DoesnÂ’t matter if you have a right to be there.  Your actions can cause a negative reaction and being dead sure doesnÂ’t help even though you were in the right.

There have been numerous posts here about cyclist issues along with kayakers being hit by power boats.  Some you canÂ’t prevent but many can be avoided by just learning what the past causes were and trying to avoid them.

Well said, DG. We have all had bad days, and we have all said things we have regretted. In the past.
