General Fishing Tips / Organizing crab pot/ring floats and ropes
« on: December 18, 2022, 12:08:18 PM »
Hi everyone,
I am wondering how you organize crab floats and ropes considering the new regulations with cone shape and red float.  My old setup with a pool float was easy to self organize by winding the rope around itself.  However that is no longer a legal float.  I hate tangled messes in a kayak.  Please post photos if you have some good ideas.

Thanks

I'm fishyhead  and I have been watching this site for a couple of years and have learned much about kayak fishing from all of you out there.
I live in the east bay Fremont and own a Hobie outback and a Cobra Fish and Dive kayak.  I've taken the yaks out on the Delta for bass and stripers, east bay lakes for trout and to Doran for Crab.  I also have a boat but I must admit that the challenge of catching/facing a fish at eye level is another thrill level.
I look forward to all of your posts and hints on rigging.
