I'm looking to buy a tandem kayak and came across some from Brooklyn Kayak company. They seem to have good features at a low price and good ratings on Amazon, but they are relatively unknown. The two models I'm considering are:

Pedal driven:

Anyone have experience, thoughts, opinions about these or this company? Or suggestions for other tandem kayaks that wont break the bank.

imagine a native propel pedal drive. then, imagine someone stole the design.  there you go.

The solo model, UH-PK14, on Amazon had pictures of the pedal drive system. What do you think?

Looks plausible, but for just a little more you can get something with a proven track record.
