Hello everyone,
New to posting on your forum but I have admittedly lurked here quite a bit. I live and work out of Ventura where I have paddled the local waters quite a bit but have never ventured north of Goleta. The advice given here and my better judgement keeps me from braving it alone.
I started kayaking after my wife bought an intro to kayaking class in Port Hueneme Harbor. Soon after that I walked into a West Marine store and picked up an inexpensive Pompano 120 for me and ordered a WS Tarpon 100 for the wife. She soon returned the favor with a PA 12 which I fished down in Mission and San Diego Bays quite a bit before deciding to sell it as it was just too much boat for me. I've kept the other two kayaks for when the itch strikes and every now and then think of upgrading to a Mirage drive again but in a smaller package.
Thanks for the great site, it is full of useful information and inspiration to get out there.

Nice to hear from a Ventura kayak fisherman. I'll be all done moving down there soon and looking forward to meet and join you fishing the waters there in Ventura. I'll message you when we finally settle down and get back to relaxing and playing mode. Maybe by the time the lobster season opens up we can go hooping for some.
