It looks like Tuesday is the fishing day.  We plan to arrive late Monday afternoon and RV camp on the bluff if Brenda has space available.  Stop by for a beer Monday evening or join us on the water Tuesday.  We will be on channel 69.

It looks like conditions Tuesday and Wednesday might be right for the 1st rock fish trip of the season.  Nothing definite yet, but Hobie Dave and I are looking at either Tuesday or Wednesday or possibly both, with an overnight camping stay at Timber Cove.  I'll post an update in a few days as plans and conditions are firmed up.

I don't know about NCKA peeps, but I know there's usually a group of kayakers that launch from there. A co-worker of mine will be there this Saturday.

Thanks!
My friend couldn't make it, so I was hoping to have others nearby. I will keep my radio on 69 unless there is a better channel. It's always good to have others Around in our ocean.
Looking forward to it!

Timber Cove, yesterday 4/19.  We launched to calm flat seas with virtually no wind.  Dave and I launched and Adam and Rob joined up a few minutes later.  Dave and I went North and Adam and Rob went straight out off the Totem Pole.  Adam and Rob found the fish so we followed.  The bite was a little slow at first but I managed to get two big coppers, a couple of big Chinas and four other very decent rock fish, for a total of eight.  On my final drop, I got a nice 30" Ling.  Not a bad day, especially considering the word we received from the group that fished there yesterday and only caught one or two Lings and no rock fish.  I don't have pictures to attach because they were taken by Hobie-Pam and she and Dave decided to stay an extra night.  I'll try and post them when I get them later today.  It was an amazing day on the water and great to fish with Adam and Rob from the "Sac Crew".  Napa Justin showed up in his PB and fished with us for a while too.  He launched at Doran and the ocean was so calm, he said it was an easy trip to TC. It was another great day on the water and good to get back on the salt before GSX.
