Dustin, Charkbait opens at 11. Be at the Huntington Beach store when it opens to see what the 20 to 70 percent discount deals are before you shoot over to the Fred Hall show. Maybe you will luck into a better deal for one of your desired rods.

I bet the vendors did not do as well because of not being able to get their credit card readers to work. No checks. Cash & carry without the CC cards.

Stuff I got for free.

Got a Phenix hoodie for buying the rod.
Was supposed to get a tackle bag for buying the Mak15, but they were out so I got the soft shell jacket and a hat.
Was also supposed to get 20% off of a braid fill-up for the Mak15 at Bob Sands tackle shop, but since I told 'em I wasn't local and couldn't make it to their shop they knocked an extra $20 off of the price of the reel and since I had issues with my card being accepted they threw in the Calcutta pliers.
The surface irons are from Bob Sands buy 2 get 1 free.
The last pic is from the saltwater goodie bag you receive when subscribing to FishTaco Chronicles.

Thanks, fellas!

I'm back. I flew down on Wednesday morning and drove back Wednesday night. Tough 24 hours. I woke up at 3:00AM on Wednesday and got home at 2:45AM on Thursday morning.
On top of that, the rental car place didn't open until 5:30AM, so I ended up driving home and then turning around yesterday morning to take the rental car back to Oakland and pick up my truck.

I had a great time, but definitely coulda planned it better.

It was a great show. Best turnout I've ever seen. We were restocking throughout the day instead of once every morning. Big crowds throughout the week.
