I'm not sure about the emission. That lake has been called the "dead sea" for a reason haha. I been out there twice on the kayak. The first time I went from the Madera side up into the river and back. On the way back in 100 feet of water, I had a major take down and whatever it is spooled me trolling an a-rig. It got off but I fought it briefly. It felt heavy! By the time I turned the kayak around to gain some line back, it shook the hook out :(

I'm going to try it again soon. I got the annual pass that works at Millerton and at SLR so it isn't so bad. I would avoid that lake in the summer time though!! A lot of boat traffic!!

I've been there about half dozen times, mostly camping with the family in the State Rec Area on the NW side. Lots of small spotted bass. Jerry has caught a few nice trout, even though they don't plant it. I haven't paddled up the river but that's where you can find a big striper. Now would be a good time to try it!

There are no trout in that lake. lol

White roostertail trolled near the shoreline is money.  More bass than you can shake a stick at.  Trout are tougher but they are there, just takes a little more work.  I have seen some monster stripers out there, and some major boils on them.  Great lake !!!!
