Man you scored some nice rods.

Thanks! I also picked up a BH 8'6" Cape Cod Special popping rod from Jamie the last time I stopped by Bob Sands.

I was asking Jamie what rod he thought would be a good match for my Twin Power 14K and he recommended the 10' YT special posted in the video above. I didn't want a 10'er so he recommended the 8'6" Cape Cod Special (pretty much the same rod but shorter). All last fall Bob Sands had a random 15% rod rack, where the staff would randomly put rods on every few days. The CC Special wasn't on that rack but Jamie grabbed it from my hands and jokingly looked around and put it on there and gave me the 15% off. Then when I picked up everything else I needed and went to the register he knocked another 10% off my whole order, which was just under $900.

As many of you know, I went to ISE last Saturday and had a really good time. I really enjoyed the seminars conducted by our members and the best part was running into ncka members around every corner. However, Ron was very elusive. I could not track him down. Hey Alby - Jamie is about to re-open the "Pre-Fred Hall Show" pricing on his Phenix, Calstar, and United Composites rods. I'll let you know when he does. It will definitely be worth giving him a call when he starts it up again.
