General Talk / Trojan Golf Cart batteries?
« on: February 13, 2022, 02:26:41 PM »
Is there anybody on here that can get some Trojan Golf cart batteries for a good price? We purchased a used 2003 Golf Cart and I just looked up the Trojan 8 Volt batteries it uses and was shocked by the price. I see that they can last 7-9 years if properly maintained.

Thank you,

Victor

Fishing Tournaments and Events / Official Crabfest 2020 Report
« on: January 24, 2020, 10:00:58 AM »
Thank you to everyone who came out to Crabfest 2020, the largest kayak crabbing event in the world. We had a total of 97 registered anglers and 90 of those 97 signed in that morning. We lucked out with the weather as it started raining right after we took the group photo. The crabbing wasn’t great but there was still crab being caught.

As always the potluck was amazing. NCKA really knows how to eat. Thank you Badger Ranch for the hog donation, it was delicious. A big thank you to all the sponsors who supported the event. The raffle raised $3,804, which will go directly to www.dyf.org.

Just a friendly reminder to bring a dish to share NCKA style. We will provide dishes and utensils, but it is best if you can bring a reusable plate to keep things green.

I could always use some help with clean up and we may need some pop ups and tables if you have some.

What are you bringing?

Fishing Tournaments and Events / Crabfest 2019 Official Report...
« on: January 25, 2019, 10:43:49 AM »
Crabfest 2019 was one for the books. The weather was beautiful and the crab were in attendance. This may have been one of the best Crabfest, weather wise. The wind never picked up and it was warm enough to play in the water.

We had 70 of the 80 registered anglers check in to a beautiful sunrise. Some anglers were quick to find crabs while others had a more difficult time. In the end everyone still had a great time. To me the event is more about the chill, the crabbing is the icing on the cake.

And the winners are...

Perch

The winner of this years perch division was Frank Nunes (Ghost), his perch measured in at 11.75 inches. The Winner of the Junior Division was Colton Crummey aka Colton Crum whose perch measured in at 11 inches

Rock Crab

There were some big rock crab that were brought in to be measured this year, some bigger than Dungeness. The winner of the Rock Crab division went to Jason Ngo aka fishbushing whose rock crab measured in at 6.53 inches and weighed in at 1.54 lbs.

Dungeness Crab

Third Place went to Jennifer Chang aka Mrs. Simply Cook. Her Crab measured in at 6.93 inches and weighed in at 2.06 lbs.

Second Place went to Dario Salinas aka Thedarrios1988, his Dungeness crab measured in at 6.97 inches and weighed in at 2.27 pounds.

First Place went to Tim Butolph aka snipeworm, whose crab despite missing some legs, measure in at 7.16 inches and weighed in at 2.05 lbs

As always the potluck was amazing and there were so many delicious items, including the roasted pig at the campground. All of this couldn't be possible without the support of the sponsors and the great group that is NCKA.

The Raffle raised $4600 that will be split between DYF.org and The Freitas Family.

My Family looks forward to seeing you again at Crabfest 2020 on 1/25/20

Victor
