Happy that it got taken care of for ya Vic.  You guys are also able to see all of the Native Watercraft offerings at Headwaters in Lodi, and I'll be talking through all the models at the ISE show on both Friday and Saturday.  We'll also be able to get one of the new Thermoformed Slayer LTs for the ISE show and hopefully we can hold onto it to bring it out to crabfest.

Remember, that Manta Ray Propel is a $1999 MSRP kayak, so someone is gonna leave crabfest with a huge prize!  Let's make this a great event so that Native knows that the west coast is a viable market for them and that they can continue to support our events.

So, my intention was to leave early Saturday morning. Leave the Salinas area about 3:30/ 4:00 am. Arrive somewhere around 7:30. So now, I have been invited to a sturgie hunt for Friday morning and considering spending Friday night at Bodega. ( Crabfest )

Is there over flow campsites if I decide to camp Friday night or possibly room in someone's campsite area they are willing to share ? Would help with cost as well.

Packing light. With good weather conditions I will only be bringing my tent cot . Wont take up much space.

Thanks for any input.

There isn't an overflow area. Your best bet would be to share a site with someone. There is a fee for an extra vehicle. Each site can only have a max of 8 people according to the campground rules.

All,

My wife and I will be coming to this event.  She will likely stay ashore whilst I participate in my first salt water excursion.  I am booked to stay at Doran in the Miwok campground at spot #53; come say hi!  I've only crab fished from the surf at Baker Beach.  I look forward to meeting all of you.  I do have some gear and will need to pick a handful of items to crab fish.  I float on a small little Pro Angler 12 usually out in the Delta or Mother Lode Lakes.  I do have a radio and typical safety supplies.  See you Friday-Sun ;)

Alex

There isn't an overflow area. Your best bet would be to share a site with someone. There is a fee for an extra vehicle. Each site can only have a max of 8 people according to the campground rules.

Thanks for the reply.  :smt006

Great info from DFW about the new regs, be prepared and always carry a gauge. One gauge per person. Measure all Crab prior to coming back to beach.

Some reminders:

1) This is a potluck event, so bring something to share with everyone.
2) There will be a raffle after the awards, bring some cash.
3) There is some extra clothing available on a first come basis.

The Campground has asked that I remind everyone of their Rules:

1) Campers must vacate campsite by noon of their departure date

2) No more than 8 people allowed at an individual campsite at anytime (includes children; also includes mealtimes and gathering around the campfire).

3) You must pay for day use if you are only there for the day, there is a ranger station at the when you enter the park. If it is closed there is a box to drop of paymenty.

See everyone soon!

Good Morning Everyone!

I will be leaving to Doran soon and should be able to check NCKA from there. Let me know if you have any questions.

You do not have to go on the water to be a part of the event. It's a gathering and a potluck, the rest is extra.

They started booking that weekend. I though I made an announcement, but maybe I wasn't clear.

Alright, sucked I was unable to attend this year.   From what I've been reading and watching (Moon) had showed me that all of you had fun without me. I just booked site 126 for my travel trailer for he 2018 season.  It will be my first Crabfest event ever and looking forward to meeting wonderful people like yourselves.

I've only been out there once but I plan on going more often.  I will definitely go out there for some day trips to practice so I can try and beat some of you Veterans of the competition.

I sure hope I can squeeze my 36' long travel trailer in there with the 10' of overhang.

Your trailer will not fit. The site is 23 x 21. Not sure if that is total or concrete only. You have to park on the concrete. You may want to call for verification of fit/no fit.

Their website said there is a 10' overhang pass the pavement.  It should be able to accommodate.  I was going off of their diagram.  I believe they list the shorter of their paved driveway as the description.  The other half would be able to accommodate with plenty of room for the slideouts.

I double checked longest part(left side) is 28 long with a 10 ft overhang pass the pavement.  I should be okay and if not I will be S.O.O.L...
