Chryss and I celebrated 12 years with a camping trip to Collins Lake, this time of year its very nice and relativly peaceful.  i really like that they have security patrols until 2am...something about rowdy locals from Yuba County...

Woke up lazy on Sunday and trolled in front of the dam for a while with one fish to hand and one off at the yak :P .  then we hiked around below the dam for a while in the wildlife area :)

Lure that worked was a lip-less crank, they were apparently feeding on tiny shad...

all in all a great, if not short, trip and I didn't get skunked!

Looks like a nice & quiet camping trip there.  Thanks for the report and pictures Jim.

Thats Sam, once upon a time, far, far away, she was all black except a spot on her chest...  now she's 12 and has just a few gray hairs...lol

lake level was still a little low, but definitely fishable...see photo
