I am having connection issues with my Garmin Striker 4, its begins to power up and then the Garmin logo glows bright and it goes dead. This happened out on the water last 2 times and I tried it on land in my yard and no amount of resetting the wires would get it to work. Reading the manual it says to test the connection with a voltmeter disassemble the fuse blah blah. I am not an electronics technician and neither do I want to go out and purchase testing equipment that I don't even know how to use. What is with this nonsense, if the product is faulty why ask the customer to go about testing the unit isn't that their responsibility under the warranty. I have only used this fishfinder 5 times so far has anyone been able to successfully deal with their customer support getting products replaced. I am waiting on a call back from them at the moment

I thought I had an issue with my Garmin FF, and I was pretty impressed with the process. I did have to send it to them (somewhere in Kansas), so it took a little while. But, they ended up sending me a reconditioned unit that was a (small) step up from the one I sent in. And I later came to realize that the problem was in my wiring---I'm sure there was no issue with the original FF at all. Anyways, I suspect they'll make it right...
Please don't spoil my day, I'm miles away...

What type of battery are you using? I had a similar experience and it turned out the lithium ion battery I was using didn’t have enough juice to run the Garmin.
