Tournament day. I didn't arrive at the harbor until around noon time, thanks to the usual traffic backup. Bill was already weighing sardines on a portable gram-o-meter, or whatever it was called.

Pic 1, 2, 3: Don (Danglin) with a handful of candidates for weigh-in
Pic 4: A pic of the gram-o-meter

Looks tough fishing, but fun, for everyone except the owner of the boat in the background.  What gives??

Congrats Jessie on your new kayak. I am sure she is going to be a fine fish catching machine.

Awesome pictures as always Howard. Thanks for sharing. BTW, did you fish and try
to go out of the harbor?

Not this year. Next year for sure. I don't live very far from HMB, but it would still be worth paying to car camp overnight and avoid the night-time drive over the mountain. No electrical hookups to use the you-know-what.  :smt003

Those sardines being checked in were huge, much larger than the ones I used on the tuna trip.

Congrats to all on the good turn out and fun time despite the meager fishing--especially glad to see a gamefish won--pretty bad if it would have been a Dine. Nice new kayak dude! Last minute change of family plans doomed my participation darn it.

I heard the story--a bit sad. the owner lived on the boat but had a bilge pump he had to turn on every 24 hours. He passed away on board and no one knew and a few days later, the accumulated bilge sunk it. It was raised and towed there to be demolished at some point in the future.
