I picked up my Eddyline Caribbean 12' from R.E.I. Roseville on Sunday. Now begins the process of outfitting this beauty for fishing. I'm going to take my time and seek the advice of knowledgeable people here on NCKA. My ultimate dream is fishing 'The Lost Coast' with light tackle. Rockfish make great fish tacos and I love fish tacos!

Here it is! I installed a Malone Kayak Rack in the shop. This Sat. I'm fabricating a PVC Kayak stand from plans I found on the internet. I'm also actively looking for a good quality paddle and pfd.

...And wetsuit, dry-top, fish finder, fishing rod holders, vhf radio, bildge pump, net, extra paddle, compass, GPS and the list goes on and on! This could take months! WAF is dangerously low!!...

Nice!congrats yellow seem to be a popular color
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

I'm just glad I won't be the only one in yellow  :smt044

You are going to love your boat! I had to use a wife's version of WAF's to get mine, haha.

I am really interested in your PVC kayak holder - please share and include pics!

This is the fun part, customizing your yak to your fishing needs. Make sure to take some pictures along the way to share.

Nice lookin' yak! Those Caribbeans are pretty slick.
For paddles, I like Werners. And for PFDs, I only use Kokatat and ExtraSport.

So how did the PVC stand turn out?

I really like mine especially at difficult launches where you have to trek a good distance.

Those Caribbeans are pretty slick.

Can't get any slicker then that.

WAF is dangerously low!!...

You could always rent another Caribbean Kayak and have here go paddling with you.  Headwaters Kayak in Lodi has them for rent.

We are also selling off our 2012 rental Carribbeans for 30% off. Your going to love your new boat. Ive had two responses from those that use them. They ether buy one or they want to.
