Jeff,

I know a lot of folks camp up at Veteran's memorial, but it is first come-first serve and not sure how big of RVs they can accomodate...

https://www.yelp.com/biz/veterans-memorial-park-monterey

About 30/45 minutes up the road from Monterey is Watsonville area which has Pinto Lake RV Park (where my dad used to stay in his RV) and the Santa Cruz/Monterey KOA...the KOA is big and has all kinds of diff sites:

http://pintolakepark.com/Level2/rv-camping.html

https://koa.com/campgrounds/santa-cruz/site-type/rv-camping-sites/

There is also a large dirt lot right there by MBK...but not sure on the exact legality of staying there overnight...

Hopefully some other folks who have camped around here have some other suggestions/advice to help out.

Jim

Woo-Hoo!

See you there!

Anybody got fish jail passes I can borrow? That's Kylee's birthday weekend and I'd like to take her to see the fishees on Sunday.

TIA!

Here's the cliff notes version of trailer & rv camping near Monterey.
Yeah, Veterans Park is the only real campground near Monterey. Other nearby trailer-camping options include the Monterey Fairgrounds and Laguna Seca Raceway. Then heading north towards Santa Cruz, we've got Moss Landing KOA, Watsonville La Selva Beach KOA, Sunset State beach, Manresa State Beach, New Brighton beach, and Seacliff beach. Then there's Pfieffer Big Sur state park if you want to camp somewhere scenic & peaceful.

Haven't finalized my itinerary yet, but that weekend and the following week are my vacation. I plan to visit family in my old Kentucky home, we may have to organize some NCKA express for the Bud Light to Monterey!
