yeah, i know, like we need another hole in our heads....

well, i finished putting together a narrow spool squidder from scratch last night.  i lubed up the bearings, greased all the screw holes and added a jigmaster power handle.  i'd like to sell it for $80, if anyone is interested.

i put this reel together with a kayaker in mind.  the good thing about this reel is the small size for shallow water rock fish, using 20, 25 or 30# mono.  the other thing is the single screw take down for the right side plate.  it makes cleaning this reel a snap.  all you have to do is pop off the right side plate, hose out the frame, spool and side plates, blow out the water with compressed air and re-lube the bearings.

the down side to this reel is the bearings.  since your reel gets to swim almost every trip, the bearings should be cleaned out....  every trip.  that's why i prefer the narrow spool jigmaster,  it has plain bushings, not bearings.  oh, and if anyone is also interested, i actually have two more narrow spool jigmaster conversion kits, one for the standard 500 and the other for the high speed 505.  drop me an e-mail if any of you are interested.  thanks!  alan
