Hey Everyone,

Just a quick introduction...mid 30's, live in Rocklin, CA, wife, 3 kids, 2 dogs.  I used to fish a lot of saltwater as a kid, mostly in the "Bay" Area and a little bit of ocean fishing in Pacifica and HMB.  Now I live in the mountain area so its fresh water for me mostly.  I dont get out to fish nearly as much as I would like, usually an annual trip to Eagle Lake is all I get.  But now my brother-in-law has moved out to Rocklin and I will soon be joining him in kayak fishing adventures.  He is the reason I joined this forum.

SO, looking forward to some healthy conversations and some great stories.  I like what I'm reading so far and look forward to getting my first kayak.

Mike B.

I assume there are details on the site about that event?  Sounds like fun though...perhaps I'll make the trip.

Will do. Gotta get myself a kayak first. I was thinking of French meadows or hellhole. I've heard French meadows is good fishing, not sure about hellhole but it sounds great !!

Donner is a good bet.  I live near 65 and pleasant grove...it's about an hour and half from the house to the ramp.  Lot's of kokes, monster macks and is very yak friendly...just be sure to dress warm.

I live right off pleasant grove (park) where it gets into Rocklin. A Donner trip sounds like fun, but yeah right now it's a bit chilly.
