Does anybody know what this type of waterproof electrical connector is called? I'm looking for a (waterproof) plug that will fit in the female end when the solar panel is not connected.

Please don't spoil my day, I'm miles away...

I like these like that :-)

I use those on my battery box for my kayak, but they are not at all the same as the ones in the original post (much heavier duty, like you’d use on a regular outlet).

I use those same connector that iroelikethat posted above and keep my battery in a waterproof box---so that is the connector between the battery box and the wiring. If you want to waterproof the actual connection to the battery, some goop should do the trick.

Or build a barrier around the terminal with clay, and fill the area with epoxy.remove clay after epoxy is set.
