Monterey County Air Quality

Just  an FYI...

It was real bad yesterday around midday but that seems to have been an anomaly, see attached pic.

I've been diving several times in the past week and haven't died FWIW.

If you have a lung or other health condition obviously you should exercise more caution...

Yeah...My wife has asthma and she can feel it!

Yesterday was a spare the air day, where the wind is usually way down and smoke/smog can accumulate. 

it was wicked smoggy in downtown SC yesterday, but today it is much improved. Very little smoke today.

Meh. Its like a weekend in Albion.

Air quality should improve as the fire moves south. Each night as the air cools and settles the smoke pushes down canyon and toward the ocean where it mixes with the fog. Making it "smog, errr... Foke" we can't decide. But the good news is that we have placed from Garrapatta to upper carmel valley into patrol status.

Glad to hear that it's better---I was fishing yesterday and it was too smokey...
