Hi fisherpeople,  I am heading to HMB for Father's Day brunch.  I am considering leaving early to fish off the shore.  Recommendations? Locations? Bait? Lures? Gear?

Thanks for any intel.  Be safe, Tom aka DAD of three kids

Low tide is at 11:30.  Go poke poling off the west jetty or try for surf perch in the breakers...  light tackle, sandcrabs.

You could also try crab snaring off the jetty if that's your thing. Although the jetty might not be the safest place for your kids to roam around.

I’ve had sporadic luck at Montara beach for perch. People also fish the beach by La Costanera  restaurant.

I've had a lot of fun and some catches with crab snares off the south Jetty. You could also catch some rock fish, lingcod (possibly) or monkey face eels along the Jetty as well.
