I own one the Samsung Washers on the recall  :smt013.   On top of that my Samsung refrigerator has been giving me problems,

dumb thing stops getting cold and leaks water.  I hope my 2 Samsung flat screen TVs don't blow up. :smt005

My Samsung TV died about 18 months ago. Blown capacitor which was a well known issue and I missed the very extended warranty coverage (due to bad publicity for Samsung) by a couple of months.  :smt013 :smt010 I bought replacement capacitors online and Sonny stopped by to bring the TV back to life.  :smt007

On top of that my Samsung refrigerator has been giving me problems,

Does your freezer work, but fridge side won't cool?

What have you tried so far?

I know that it is either some board problem, or the fan blowing cold air from freezer into fridge seized up from ice.

If its not the board problem, you can try this.  Of course this option will only work if you have spare freezer/fridge, but unplug it for 3 days and it should work.   :smt044

Is it the French door style fridge?
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Its a side by side style model.  The bottom water drain in the back panel keeps plugging up. Water builds up then eventually turns into ice.  Some of the water leaks out the front door. Then the fan gets covered with ice and stops blowing cold air.  I've defrosted it but the same problem keeps recurring.  Its 3 yrs old and without warranty. :smt010

It might be the plastic grommet plug in the back that needs to be changed out.mine did the same but it's the French style. Ice kept building up because the drain plug was gummed up from the heat of the motor in the back.orderded the part and changed it out and doesn't have that problem anymore.

Nice. I see that capacitor problem in a lot of the computer monitors at my work. Probably 90% + of all the dead monitors I've seen are bad caps. Usually it's right out of the gate or after a lot of years though. Fortunately, it's not a hard fix, and now that CRTs are dead and gone, it's a lot safer to do than it used to be.
