General Talk / Long hard drive for a short life.
« on: May 16, 2019, 09:16:55 PM »
My wife’s 5 year old Rottweiler Gummy Bear was diagnosed with bone cancer, his health was degrading rapidly and the small lump on his head grew rapidly while we waited for the diagnosis. So today we had to make the hardest drive a dog owner can make, he was put down today at the humane society and is getting cremated.

General Talk / VA ....BS!!!!
« on: March 03, 2019, 08:00:52 PM »
So few of y’all know my father in law is a veteran in good standing, he’s on social security, and gets a union pension for his over 2 decades of work as a garbage truck driver. He makes less then $40,000 a year. He only applied and received his VA benefits as of last year because the costal medical system was greatly failing him .... double amputee now.
He got a letter from the VA stating he makes too much money to receive VA help anymore and can go onto the market place and buy his own insurance like everyone else! WTF the market place for government mandated insurance bullshit stops enrolling in December for this year. No phone call no previous warning..... he has a fucking appointment at the Portland VA on the 12th of this damn month!!!!

I read that the VA budget just got its biggest ever by Donald Trump to over $200 Billion.... but there cutting off veterans that NEED there service after giving 15 fucking years of his life and his family’s as he traveled around the country base to base. Not to mention the time spent over seas during the Vietnam War not getting to see his daughters grow up to make sure our soldiers had reliable transportation.

I’m pissed, I’ll be talking to the Tillamook VA rep tomorrow even if I gotta sit in his office all day waiting.

For Sale / Stanley Hydraulic Tools
« on: December 20, 2018, 07:19:38 PM »
Was given some hydraulic hand tools to find a new home and no there not HOT! Yes I’m 1000% positive. So I’m not sure what there worth but there for underwater use as far as I can tell. There from an old marine service shop. There all older Stanley tools, there is an impact driver, a chisel hammer, and I believe the third one is a sander or grinder. I guess this is a question as well as a for sale add. Anyone know what there worth and what they are exactly? Is anyone interested and want to make an offer. Probably a tad heavy to ship but might be able to get a NWKA to NCKA express.

Needs interior work and some tlc, a little mechanical work and it would be a nice ride.

My daughter is moving out of our old 5th wheel ...needs a lot of help !! ....the leak repair her boyfriend “tried to do” two years ago will need attention. Needs some repairs  :o .... it’s a triple axle with two slide outs (bed and super slide in the living room). Did I mention it needs some work? Fully functional (with leaks repaired) just needs the attention it hasn’t been getting. I replaced the roof on the father in laws RV (posts on here somewhere) it’s not that difficult if your a little handy.

37ft 1993 Teton Homes
$2000 or best serious offers ... no I won’t take $1000 I can get way more if I strip it.

If anyone is genuinely interested I’ll get some pictures posted up. If not no sweat because I have secured a place to strip it to the frame and then I’ll sandblast it paint it and sell the frame. I plan on stripping it in about a week.

For Sale / 1999 Dodge Cummins 3/4 ton 4X4
« on: April 11, 2018, 07:24:35 AM »
My buddy and a very good mechanic at the Big Tuna Marina has a nice truck if anyone is looking for one.
1999 Dodge extra cab 1500 miles on a complete professional rebuild.
Great shape 160,000 on the truck. Spray in bed liner, cowboy hitch in bed. A few dents and dings but it’s in excellent shape and sounds great. He’s asking $16,000 but said if anyone from NWKA wants it $15,000.
Hdwipmonkey can testify to the sound of it, he wants it but loves his Jeep too much to part with it. It’s in Garibaldi shoot me a Pm and I’ll get you in touch with the owner.
I know we’re not supe close but for the right vehicle who knows how far you will drive, I went to Seattle for my first kayak.  :smt044
