I'm glad you got out on the water on your birthday. Party boats do have their disadvantages, but the galley service is usually much better than on the kayak .

No galley on the QoH.  It was a fun trip...good company makes everything worthwhile and the boat/crew itself is great.  The not so fun part comes when you're fishing next to a group of fellas who get overly excited about having hooked into an 8" black and either swing the fish over the rail or start yelling for a gaff.  It gets even worse when the same group of fellas is constantly tangling their line with others on the boat...although it's not such a bad thing when they tangle up amongst themselves.  And don't get me started on the people at the opposite end (starboard bow) of the boat getting their lines tangled with yours (port stern).

All in all though Liz and I combined our super powers to end up with nearly a limit of descent fish and two lings.  I also got to hang with my good buddy Joey (Grammar Police) and his waaaaaaaay better half (Shannon).  Most importantly though, I got a couple of things to bitch about on a monday morning (my weekend isn't complete without that).

"Waaaaaaaaay better half?" I hope that was just to draw me to post you bastard!

It was a pretty good trip. Minus the open boat problems you so kindly stated. If you and Liz are up for fishing the private charter, let me know. That is if'n you don't yak the tourney. Too bad your ling was a lb. heavier. You would have made out with a nice birthday gift!

Did your moms enjoy the fish?

I think Shannon will continue to fish till either she gets to queasy or her belly keeps her from the rail.
