Big News! Okuma - maker of the new Baidarka Kayak Rod - is sponsoring our trip. We'll have nightly raffles for all kinds of good stuff including tackle packs, hooded sweatshirts, possibly a reel or two, and at least one of the new Baidarkas. Everyone will get a shirt and hat.

Also please welcome Ric Hawthorne to our happy group. Ric was a big wheel at Malibu Kayaks and then Cobra Kayaks before moving up to Okuma. Everywhere he's gone he's left a kayak-fishing-friendly impact. He can fish too, and is a fun guy to be around. Right Mooch?   

I've asked Ric to stop by periodically to weigh in on equipment questions. He'll recommend Okuma of course! The company makes some great rods and reels - many are a terrific value.

Folks, I'm checking in from the road. I'm up fishing the Eastern Sierra this week; be back home on Monday. Then I'll update the checks received list and get those checks cashed. Keep those shirt sizes rolling in!
