I know of a killer bait that will just slay the rockfish and lings up here.  My buddy makes them, so I hesitate to advertise for fear of being a spammer, but if you are interested in hearing about it and don't think it is spam I will dial you in.

I believe information like yours is entirely appropriate as long as it is relevant to kayak fishing.

Yeah man, I play it pretty loose here. As long as it is not obvious spam like the crab trap guy last week then go for it.

I mean everyone says what they like to use, just cause its your buddy does not mean it does not work. Please post his web site, a google search does not bring it up.

Post it in the fishing tips section though if you don't mind.

Trix Jetty Worms are specialty jigs.

They were originally designed to fish the Zuniga Jetty (hence their name) in the mouth of san diego bay.

They are weedless football style jigs handpoured and painted with the finest components.

here is a gallery of shots of fish caught with this lure.

It will kill the local rockfish and lings I'm sure.

I stand to make 0 money, I just want to help you all and my buddy at the same time.

This is my buddy "The Crease" with a nice SoCal ling caught on the TJW.

The TJW is currently slaying the calicos in the kelp off of San Diego.

my kid brother is into bass fishing.  he dredged up an old box of helicopter lures.  as soon as july rolls around, i'm going to dust off that old box and go fishing.

The best way is through a PM on the SDFish board.  He is very small scale at this point in time.

The trailers are extremely varied, between his hand pours and commercial trailers.

The secret is in the jig itself.  Excellent quality.

I just put in an order for 3/4 and 1 oz.  They come from 1/4 up I believe.

Hopefully that is heavy enough, I usually use at least 1.5 oz but mostly 2-3 oz heads.

Looks forward to going head-to-head at some derby sometime.

Biggest do-it weedless football jig mold is for a 3/4oz jig.  

Here's something I built last year that's similar:  Maybe more appropriately sized for lingasaurs.  My sister took a legal ling with this guy last year at fort ross.  In fact she caught 3 fish bigger than my largest red - I was using a straight 4" scampi.  

I stocked up on sexier tinsel over the holidays, can't wait to try it out in july.
