GTO, who fished with Chef a LOT just found out, and has teneatively taken the last spot.  If spots open (and I'm sure they will), I will back fill from the standby list.  You guys rule!!!

Since the response was so overwhelming the overall cost has been significantly reduced.  The new cost is $255 per person, which includes all food, bait etc. PLUS a generous tip for the crew, which was not in the original price.  The only additional cost will be for beverages, which are around a buck for water and 2 bucks for a beer.

Please PM PAL to get info on where to mail your check.  This is going to be an oustanding trip! 

I'm really hoping this trip goes well for you guys.  I'd like to see this become a yearly tradition so that someday when my WAF is back up I might be able to go to.

I don't think so, but if its fun maybe we'll make it an annual thing.

Thanks everyone for the incredible response. It's a tremendous testament to Steve, and to how many people he touched. A very sincere thanks for helping us celebrate Chef and take care of unfinished business. I'm sure we'll have a memorable time.

As the trip approaches I'll post something about the conditions at San Clemente Island and recommended gear. I hear some people will head down early enough to run out at La Jolla on Sat or Sun. I'll try to round up some local talent to show those folks around.
