I'm in.What better tribute could there be.

Why Do I paddle a kayak instead of a float tube or a pontoon boat? I like seeing where I'm going not where I've been!
Paddle safe and wrap'em tight.

Sean,
Wow.  If I had the cash I'd be in, but unfortunately I don't.  The Islander is a great boat, did a 2.5 day a couple a years ago and they worked very hard for everyone during some very tough conditions.  My avatar of a 30-something pound bluefin is from that trip.  While growing up in SoCal, I took many trips to San Clemente Island.  There are some very nice homeguard yellows (up to 40 lb.) down there, they can rock or kelp you in a second.  Get in close to some of the sandy coves and get a halibut or WSB.

I only had the pleasure of one conversation with Chef at the Elk tourney and it was about this very type of fishing, at the channel islands for yellows, halibut, WSB and calicos, we were reminiscing.  I'll never forget him.

What an awesome tribute.  You guys have me all choked up at work.  I am not sure what else to say.  I will see if I can make it.

I'm 85% in. Checking vacation time today. Will verify later today or 1st thing tomorrow, if there's still open spots.

Ah man, I want to be in too  :(

I asked my wife last night and she quietly said "yes" but gave me that look that meant if you go you'll never, ever recover from the WAF debt.  I'm still on a WAF repayment schedule from my 2005 Baja trip so I'm going to have to pass.  Sounds like a great trip, with a great bunch of guys and gals, and a great tribute to Chef.

Sean I am defiantly in, let me know where to send the $$.I had a great idea if the fish gods and the jade pirate could help us out.  Everyone Who goes get to chance to catch a YT with chefs new rod, hence the fishing gods cooperation. How awesome would that be?
