Alex - The eels look great. Kind of like the anago sushi grill technique. Where's your restaurant? I grew up in a restaurant family in LA.

Doug - Sorry my killer dab rig didn't produce.

Let's hookup next time for dabs. I am going through dab withdrawl.

Hey GB2,

It was in the city of Marina. Found out it was taking to much of my fishing time so i doubled the investment and got out of the bus. It was fun and profitable while i was acting like a Iron chef :smt003

Now cooking is just a hobby.

That's OK Scott, actually when I met Alex at FW I was going over your rig suggestions, but decided to keep it simple with the leader/swivle setup that Alex taught me to use on my first trip to Del Monte.  But I'm not sure that any rig would have worked a whole lot better that particular day. It was just dead...really dead.  But keep me in the loop when you think about going.

I was watching, with interest, your possible foray into SLR with Joel this weekend.  It was tempting but the combination of too much paperwork to do and uninviting weather put me down.  Want to get the backlog of paper work done (that built up because of too many trips to Del Valle too close together) so I'll be free once the ocean opens up again.

Alex and Doug

Joel scrubbed the SLR mission this weekend. We will have to trade recipes, I've got some killer rock fish recipes. The dab rigs I use are a product of these winter months when fishing opportunities are limited and all I can do is think about what fish think and desire. Of course sand dabs aren't  too particular but it is fun to create things they haven't seen before and may desire.

Alex you need to come up for a weekend as soon as the water drops if it happens this month its going to be awesome.
