All,

I got a new senko rod.  Claurus CSC70M.  This rod rounds out my quiver and anything else is pretty much just gravy.

Nice soft tip for accurate tossing of light baits, but a pretty stiff but section.  I've had my eye on this rod for months, and Santa heard me talking about it and made it happen.

What did you all get for fishing?

Leah got me a sweet sabiki rod.  I love live bait, I HATE getting caught by my own bait stick...can't wait to try it.

So far I have collected $50 in Cabelas card, promptly blown at the KC Cabellas on lures.

My wife got me an Okuma AS-40 spinning reel which looks really nice. Still have to visit the parents in TX to collect more stuff!  :smt003

I wound up with some diving gear from the family gift exchange. My sister's heart was absolutely in the right place, but the mask doesn't fit (no surprise there, right?) and the fins need to be traded in for some that are more applicable to freediving. But it looks like 2007 is the year I start doing some Ab diving, maybe even try my hand at spearfishing.

My wife bought me replacements for my leaky Hodgeman waders. She went with the highly regarded Cabelas units. We are also going to do at least one trip together on the F/V Riptide out of Half Moon Bay.

Regards,
Scott

My youngest stepson got me a 2007 license, deceptively wrapped in a large box.  :smt002  The wife came thru with $150 in West Marine gift cards, among other things.  Add that to the $50 WM gift card (and $50 FW gift certificate) my sister & her family gave me, and I have enough for a fishfinder or handheld GPS unit...  I guess everyone paid attention to my less-than-subtle hints.  :smt003

Now I just have to decide what to get... :confused5:

I paired up the rod I got with my freshly overhauled Abu4600.  Seems nice.  The rod loads up nicely with a 5" senko.

Got to take it out, but this month is really gonna be taken up with my move to Davis.
