Just thought I would give everyone an update on my project. We had a Memorial Day gathering that was supposed to get lots of work done. I will just let you read the report to see how things went.

I am headed up again on the 16th to hopefully do some pond digging. If you would like to come up to help, let me know.

The goal of the project is to create a refuge for the wildlife. The habitat in the whole area up there is declining in health. I hope to create an area where there will always be food and water for the wildlife. My way of giving back after hunting and harvesting on land and water most of my life.

That's a great thing you're doing  :smt023 Nice pics too! Is there a way we can help as far as making donations to this cause?

This is sweet.  What a joy it will be.

Mooch, I just recently emptied my checking account and gave the money to a lawyer....A LAWYER!.... to pay him and everybody else involved to turn my LLC corporation into a 501 non-profit. So, once that is done, I will once again start hitting the streets looking for donations. From what I have read, once the 501 is in place, people can even deduct the traveling expenses and time donated on my work weekends. I am hoping that will encourage more people to get involved.

Mooch, that is a great idea. I would really like to to explore that once my 501 is in place. If enough people were interested maybe we could get some sponsors.

Davey Jones. The town of Termo is south of you on 395. My property is almost due west of Termo.

What's the drive time to Eagle?
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

I always stop in Susanville to fill up and get any last items. Then, I take 139. My property is 50 miles north of Susanville. The turn off for Eagle Lake is 15 miles shy of the property.
Yea, if you were in Madeline, then you were probably 30 miles from the property. I have never been to Moon lake. Are there fish in it? How about frogs?

they say Catfish are in Moon Lake; don't know about frogs other than the green tree frogs that show up in spring. You should look for supplier of woggs.
