Took my good fishing buddy Cpt. Ron on his first kayak fishing trip this am.  We were joined by my neighbor, I had Jr. in the front of a tandem.  Started out raining but glassy.  Hit the water at about 0730 and was I bent within 10 minutes.  First fish was 28" and 7.5 lbs.  Jr. got hit a few minutes later for a similar sized fish...the tandem crew was on.

Then Ron and my neighbor got a double going and they were being towed in opposite directions...

We had four fish by 0830 fish.  Wind started to kick up so we ran north for shelter.  Ron had a nice fish on the way but it popped off.  Fishing was slower up north but I scraped up another fish around 1100.  We eventually got blown out and we trolled back for nada.  We released everything but Ron's fish.  He had never caught a striper before and wanted to try it.

Ron's fish was short and fat...28" and 8 lbs. even.  I lipped so many stripers this week my thumbs are raw and rashed on the top...sports injury?  No paddling tomorrow, I am spent.
