I really like my Hobie Adventure and have always promoted the dark side. However, it dawned on me that I have kayak fished many tournaments over the years from one end of Cal to the other and have never seen a Hobie Kayak as the prize. Lots of Ocean Kayaks and Wilderness Systems and Malibus (Big kudos to those companies), but not a single Hobie. Not sure I remember any Hobie swag. I love my Hobie, but it sure would be nice to know they donate to and promote the sport like those other fine companies that always seem come through. Anybody out there ever won a Hobie?

So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains, where the spirits go...........

Yup, the last 3 AOTY champions!

And I believe they are giving another away for the Kayak Wars competition.

I believe Hobie replaced the yaks that were damaged by white shark attacks on 2 of our brothers. That means more to me than schwag or kayaks for events.

I'm waiting to hear back from Hobie and am hopeful that they'll have something to offer for GS6.  I asked for a safety kit or something else that would be helpful to a kayakfisherman.

Being an honorable sportsman is way more important than what you catch.

It seems funny to me that everyone always wants a Kayak as a prize.......
We all have one already, and most are loyal to one brand or another. What would I really do with a yak if I won it?
Seems there are better prizes than a Kayak.
