I got a pass to do some fishing!  After Tim's successful trip, I am thinking of hitting Shasta on Friday.  I could also easily be talked into Baum.  I am ready for some water therapy and to talk about upcoming tournaments that the Slayers will be winning  :smt003.  I would also like to do some bass fishing. Any one want to give it a try?

I read that Baum is fishing really well lately, never been there but I'm down to go. Shasta was good too. I picked up some trout crack toady and am ready for another shot at 'em. Any one else in?

I just back from Walmart with some pink worms and a new license.  Of course many new spinners and spoons found their way into my bag too  :smt003.  After reading Tim's report, I am thinking Baum is the way to go.  I will probably head up to Redding and take 299 or 44 over.

I am off all day, let me know what time works well for anyone who wants to come along!  It may be brisk in the morning, but the reports are good.

I may bring my crawdad trap along.  I have seen some huge ones in there by the powerhouse.

Sorry you can't make it beenfishing.  Tim, Tad you guys want to give it a try?  I look forward to some fishing jbaker!

Matt

Im up for a baum lake run tomorrow, my house is between the 299 and 44 off churn creek. I can meet you anywhere along the way or we can car pool in my truck, what every is easier. Im not sure where baum lake is or how to get there. Tim said its about an hour drive, meet up in redding at 8, hit the water by 930? maybe it will warm up a few degrees by then?

I don't have a job lined up yet for tomorrow :smt009
and if I don't get a work call I may be in, if I feel alright  :smt002
I'll watch this post to see where and when
and if the opportunity is there,
 so am I ! :smt002 :smt003

SR-299 it is.  Baum is easy to get to Jbaker, just go up 299, pass 89 and turn right onto Cassel Road.  Left on Baum Lake Road and drive to the lake.  It is a pretty spot and an easy launch.

Lets meet at the College Knights Mini Mart off of Old Oregon Trail, south of SR-299.  8:00 sounds good, unless you need to wait a little later for the schools to call Tad?  That is pretty close to your place, very convenient for you to come along  :smt003

Thanks for the car pool offer but rather than transfer my boat over, I will probably just drive my truck up.  I want to test it out to see what kind of gas mileage I will be getting with the kayak on top.

See you in the morning!  Hope you can make it Tad!  The weather says 26 in the morning, warming to a balmy 54, and sunny.  Dress warm!

The Baum Lake Slayer Fest is in the works.  I know there is a 12 lb trout with my name on it up there  :smt007  I am hoping for a repeat of Tim's February trip, the 50+ trout day!

My cell is (530)200-7775.  I will be in the silver Toyota with the big yellow kayak on top  :smt003
