Lol I liked it too. Good luck with the knee. If I could afford it I would have mine taken care of as well.

Good luck on your surgery, man.
I just went back to work this last Sunday after having knee surgery back on Dec 12th.  Had two stainless plates and fourteen 3" screws removed from the Tibia from a motorcycle accident back in 2000.  Chose to have it done during the winter to avoid hindering my kayak fishing.

What did you do to your knee Dave?

Jim, it's not that serious.  A torn meniscus.  A little arthroscopy on Valentines day and I'll be back in the game.  Apparently, this is a pretty routine surgery.  I like my surgeon doc:  He goes, "well, how'd you do it?"  I go, "I was trying to keep up with my 24 year old son who's on a collegiate cycling team."  He goes, "What are you, a F**king idiot?"  I like plain talk.  You don't have to try to figure out his "inner meaning."

Jim, I hope you're feeling better, bro.

Dude, that sounds bad.  Hope everything works out OK.  My thing isn't nearly as bad as that.  Good Luck, and you're smart about doing when yak-fishing is off.

I had the medial meniscus totally removed from my left knee almost 20 yeras ago. Its been bone on bone all that time. I managed to secure a Black Belt in karate, finish 4 marathons and work full time all the time. It hurts now and I will never own a hobie due to the fact that that one position in recline hurts my knee like a motherfucker. Good Luck Dave. You will be fine.

Thanks Craig.  I think the surgery is a little less radical now.  They use fiber optic devices to spot the tear and just take a little off at a time.  The funny thing is I'm scheduled for the 21st, but my knee keeps getting better and better by itself.  I may tell them to hold off for a while.
