Got a rack for Christmas and wondering what was the best way to transport my kayaks on it ? Two ways come to mind , saddles or no saddles and strapped upside down . What are your thoughts on this ? Also is it a good idea to run a tie down from the front or rear of the kayak or just side to side ?
Thanks , Dan

I transport mine on the Xsporter rack upside down. I find it works really well. I have J racks but I find that it puts the kayaks super high so I just stick with the upside down.

I have the Sporter on my Tundra as well and I transport my yaks upside down. I decided to go this way just so the yaks does not have to be so high. Less air drag
and hopefully save some gas along the way. Of course I could be wrong in terms of the gas saving part. :smt002
