I wish it came with a light also then it would justify the amount.

Pretty slick, but at $100 I'll stick to my shower curtain set-up.  :smt003

This mount looks very well thought out,
Unfortunately the box looks to be the reason for the big price.
I think we could skip the box and enjoy the mount for a more reasonable price

Think of it as getting a pistol case with your camera mount.

I should've bought this instead of Yakattack Panfish.   :smt013

What don't you like about the Panfish?

I like the Panfish and I'm happy with it but I also like the flex arm on the Greenfish and the options to break it down.

From a guy who's been playing with such devices for years now...  The flexible shaft is crucial to quickly changing your camera angle and the ability to point it any direction (vs just swiveling it on one plane).  I would be leary of the action of the boat, waves, and the big fish on your line causing the flexible arm to jossle back and forth causing an unsteady video image.  I'd think that less of the flexible material may work better - maybe more like 4-6" worth...  Also, using only one hand to quickly adjust your camera is very important as you have a very active fishing rod in the other hand.

What works for me still is sticking a tripod up under the webbing on my Gator Hatch since that particular hatch's shape allows for the business end of the tripod to extend ideally to right in front of my paddling area and about 18" off the deck.

Sometimes I go paddling and fishing w/o my tripod, and it's not as fun!   :smt001

Here's an older setup - I now prefer a tripod with one hand control (pistol grip - check "SunPak Pistol Grip" on Google...)

Late to the party here, as usual, but bit the bullet and ordered one of these after finding a discount code online that worked for 25% off.  Seemed like a pretty good deal and I already have the Panfish, which I'll use up on the bow when I feel like it.  I dig the greenfish setup because of the whole bendiness feature, case and all that good stuff.  I plan on using it in the back as well as underwater to take some video of structure in a few spots that I've been eyeing.

Here's the URL with the discount:

Hopefully they don't mind the poaching of discount code, but hey,....whatever, Google said it was cool....here it is: FRIENDS

Cheers,
