SOPA AND PIPA SEE WHAT THIS MEANS TO YOU!!!!!!

The only real problem I see with the legislation, which is being pushed by hollywood and the bought-and-sold reps you thought you elected, is that it puts the enforcement rights in the hands of the industry. That's nuts. This is the one time where I really want government enforcement- send them to the courts.

Piracy is an odd beast. Many companies grow marketshare by ignoring some level of piracy.  Controlling it too tightly negatively effects your paying customers. Too much and you lose money, not enough and you have to spend too much on marketing.

It makes Hollywood plaintiff, judge, jury and executioner, with automatic guilt by association and a mandatory minimum sentence of summary death.

In other news, a file uploading site called mega upload was shut down today by the DOJ. Anonymous responded by taking down several websites including the FBI and the DOJ.

I signed the petition over on the Goggle website. There are existing laws against piracy.
