There is a High Surf Advisory at this time. Its all over the local news warning people to stay away from local beaches.  Double check before you guys go.

Surf is pretty high until Sunday when it is looking pretty good.

Hello Michael, sorry for leaving early.

Wife's first time on a kayak + First time on a tandem + crab pots = Epic Failed!!!

The Hobie Odyssey seem much more stable compared to my 16' tarpon ... wife's shifting weight and my shifting weight = swimming.

Self rescue is much harder with two people. Method 1) I got on easily, I tried to pull her on. Flipped over! Method 2) I helped her on, then I got on ... yes, it's working, I'm in ... stay clam ... stay clam ... Flipped over. Method 3) I helped her on, and I will be an outboard since I'm only a few 50-100 feet from the mouth of the harbor - didn't work that well.

A small boat was coming in and they towed us back inside the surf wall!

Wife: #$% this #@$%! I will never go back on! I rather take out our boat! Put it on CL!!!

That's my day. Weather was nice and water was calm.

Wow that was a fast sale. Well at least you will still be on the water.

Sorry things didn't work out for you today. It was a nice day out there. All the guys I met were really cool guys and made the day even better. The crabbing was slow but the ones I did get smell good cooking right now.

Sorry that your day ended so early.  I'm glad that you were both able to get back in safely!  From a crabbing perspective you didn't miss much since it was a pretty slow day all around.  It was a beautiful day out on the water.  Just a little bit of swell and consistent breeze but never more than 10 mph and often much less than that.  I'll post a report when I have some more time.

Had a great time!  It was good to see and meet everyone out there!  Almost gotten sea sick staring at my FF while the swells rolling pretty quick!  JTfishing and I finally went a shore around 5:40pm (boy was it getting dark quick).  He had 5 and I bagged 9.  Averaging 6 1/4 inches.
