me and my buddy went to TC and met up with Allan(hightide) and hid friend John, it was nice meeting you both. Well the water was a really choppy and the swell was big too. We got there before 9am and launch half an hour later. The bite was pretty slow today but happy to be out there fishing. First bite was a undersize long 16inch released and the next another ling that was a 21 1/2 inch( close but no cigar and it was released ) an hour went then its fish on! 18 inch cabezone, my first one ever and 2 minutes later another takedown 24 inch ling. Called it a day after that cuz my buddy went in an hour ago and saw Allan and John heading in as well. Over all pretty slow today, my buddy did catch 1 black and lingcod being his favorite I gave it to him as belated Christmas present

I caught 4 myself but gifted them to friend.  Like Gino said, just being out there fishing is good enough :smt003
Even with the big swells the launch and landing were ok.
There is Massive baitballs in front of the totem pole that seems to make the ocean floor look only 15 - 20 feet.
Saw a couple of whales too. :smt003

Thank you! That was exactly what I was looking for.

Glad you guys got out. I'm gonna do an overnighter this week. Probably fish Wednesday, camp, then fish Thursday too.
