Since a few buddies and I had fri off work. We decided to try to burn some sturgeon tags before the year ends. When we got to the launch in Martinez and got the boat ready. Notice that the small amount of water that was left on the boat had frozen solid. Man it was cold..... Felt like I was in Tahoe. We got to the fleet about 6a.m. The water was glass all day with barely a breeze. Super nice day to be out there.

We had action all day long ranging from bullheads up to a nice 63" sturgeon. There was a about 10 boats around us and didn't see them catch anything. Them guys kept starring at us when we hooked up. :smt044 I felt kinda bad at one point, but I know I've been on their boat before. So we end the day keeping a 48 and 63 sturgeon. 4 stripers from 19 to 22. Release 3 undersized sturgeon and 2 stripers. Over all it was a killer day out there. Oh sadly, onle the smallest striped was mines

Nice work guys, way to mix it up. I did'nt know that Starry flounders were still around, the last one I caught was about 10 years ago @ Pt. Reyes while surf fishing.  :smt004
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.
