The other night I was doing a system test on my Humminbird fishfinder and decide to check the self test which logs the number of hours of use. Within this last year I have logged 160hrs + on the water, I  almost fell over.......

I am curious of how many hours others have logged?

I log all my trips in a journal and could approximate it from that, but I don't have any piece of electronics that I use enough to track the exact hours.  WTG on the 160.   :smt001

I just sat here for the last 40 minutes doing 2011 trip compilations from the journal - 33 trips on the yaks for an approximate 94 hours on the water so far through the end of June.  I'm burnt and will finish later this week - thanks for the inspiration.   :smt001

I also log every fishing trip, but I'm nowhere close to 160hrs this year. I've got 15 trips logged, so I'd guess I'm somewhere around 70-80 hrs of actual water time. I don't count non-fishing paddles anymore, but if I included those it would probably put me up another 30 hours or so.

33 trips? 160 hours? You guys are both doing something right :smt002

I'm somewhat ashamed to admit this and I doubt that it would ever happen again, but I'm estimating 2-300 hours for a 2 month period in late summer.  Add up all of the other trips and it's just way too much time otw.

It was a great experience and now it's time to re-prioritize things.

Guess not as many as last year, as i've been spending more time Chilling, than Fishing recently  :smt044  Gonna have to start that log next year, thanks for the reminder!  always figured I could just look at all my posts and figure it out, but would be much easier if i just kept a log.  I do have every "planned" trip in a calendar, so I know how many events I went too, but just not all the other quick or last minute trips.

just did the math, and about 260 hours a year.  But look at it this way we work 8-10 times that, so we need MORE OTW time.  Fish more, work less  :smt004

anybody willing to pay me to fish?  :smt044

I have gone fishing 46 days so far this year, not all of them were in the yak though.   anyone keep track of their number of fish caught?  I am at 528 for this year, mostly trout and most were released.

I fish pretty much once a week every week of the year which puts me in the 2-300 hour club with Hai and Eugene. If you add the commute time it is over 500.

I would guess 250 or so. Been on the water at least once a week all year. 5-6 hours per trip min.
