Four of us left Alameda around 0930 destined for the crabbing ground. Beautiful ride on the bay all the way to Pt. Bonita and then gets a little bumpy all the way out to our string just north of the channel in 120' h2o. We pulled 3 pots for 4 limits. Lots of jumbos mixed in with sportie. Overall weather was beautiful and fresh crabs for dinner. Stopped by just outside the GG bridge so a couple of newbie can soak in the view and also snaps some pics.

Nice! We did the same thing on Sunday. Wesather was great but we made one mistake. We ended up putting or pots right at High Tide in an area that was near the point and fairly deep. We went off fishing then came back and the tide was ripping out and our floats were no where to be seen.  :smt010  Had plans on making it an early day but had to wait till the tide turned which was an additional 3.5 hours at least. Finally they started popping up but the worst thing about it was there was only a couple of rock crabs in them.  :smt010  Good thing I had brought 1 crab ring that we worked in a calmer area and was able to get almost a limit with.  :smt001 . Was the most awesome sunset on the way in through the gate at that time. Will post some pics later tonight of the sunset.  Long day but ate lots of crab last night.
