Rest in Peace fellow fisherman....

Just got sad news a few minutes ago. My ex-roomate (from my Half Moon Bay days) just passed away. He used to work / Deckhand for the Commercial Boat "Morgan" out of HMB. He's Irish and migrated here for a few years to try to make ends meet but there was not enough work when the fishing Industry took a dive. So, he moved back to Ireland and started all over again. A mutual friend of ours send me this via FB....

He was fishing off the west coast of Ireland and fell overboard. they hauled him in with the catch. No one knew he went over.

There was speculation that he was under the influence while he was working the deck on the day off. Kahal had a big heart but unfortunately, his drinking got him into a lot of trouble while he was living in HMB. I saw that side of him many times and I wish I could have helped him while I had the chance. I don't think I have ever met anyone that loved the ocean like he did. I will miss him. He was 35.

It's tough to lose a friend Mooch.  You'll have him in your thoughts for quite sometime like we all do when we lose someone close to us.  May he rest in peace.
