Question for Scawfish: Eating Mendo Stripers
« on: April 10, 2006, 07:34:17 pm »
Sean:

Are there any concerns about eating stripers from Mendo? Like mercury or pesticides or anything?  Seems like a pretty clean area to me, but isn't there is some ag stuff going on around there?

We e-fish the lake once a year for the USACE and they send them out for testing.  So far the fish from there have been ok to eat.  There is always some detection of Hg around here because of the geology, but nothing unusual or unhealthy.
