GoPro clips/ movie editing software
« on: August 26, 2011, 10:48:35 pm »
Hello all GoPro-a-holics, do you guys make movie videos from your GP clips? I'm just curious as to what movie editing software you guys use if any.  I'm currently using Movie Edit Pro 17 and everytime I view them, the clips are skipping but when I view them just by plug and play from GP to my desktop, the clips play normally.  I'm trying to edit some of my vids and adding transitions but the clips, are skipping? anyone having the same situation? Thanks in advance.

what do you mean by skipping? Voice is jumping? Transition isn't smooth?

I'm just now learning to use Windows Live Movie Maker.  I'm hoping to  buy a MacBook soon and will probably buy better software once I get it though.

I am no expert on this stuff. Is the skipping from one movie file, or sections of clips added together? Could be the frames per second setting in the software. I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11, but most editing software have the same basic settings.

Check out goprouser.freeforums.org. They might have the same problem listed there.

Thanks for that link Al, so far I've spent at least an hour checking things out.

These things are addicting.

thanks for sharing the link al, I'll be checking that out after this.  To answer Pacifico, the audio is just fine, but the video itself skips, sort of jumps.  I'm having a little difficulty in putting transitions in my video between scenes and pics because of the "jumps".  I really appreciate your help, guys thanks a mil.

I'd like to see what you're talking about but it sounds like the transition between clips isn't what you're looking for.  There should be a speed for the transition, try changing that....it might be called fade in/out.

I'm no expert, I'm working on one right now and it's giving me some trouble but I think it's because of the software I'm using.
