Kayak James Fund final count
« on: April 05, 2006, 08:49:51 am »
Thanks to everyone that donated. I was totally stunned by the generosity of our group. I expected to get a few $5 donations here and there but day after day $20 and $50 donations rolled in. Amazing work people!

James got some money from his insurance company and combined with $225 from your donations has another kayak from Sean at Great White Kayak Company. I want to thank Sean for going above and beyond to replace Jame's Kayak at cost, not many dealers would jump in and do that. Thanks again for being a great person Sean!

That leaves $450 which I will be sending to Chris Paterson (cpkayak), our political director, to hand over to Coastside. I think everyone can see the amazing work Coastside is doing to not only save our salmon season but to be our voice in the MLPA process and fund Rockfish research projects to ensure the best available science is actually science.

Once again thanks to everyone that donated, it was a smashing success!  :hello2:

When I fished my 1st kayak fishing tournament in Santa Cruz I met some of the gang from NCKA for the first time. It was actually the first time I ever heard of NCKA. I knew right then and there this was an exceptional group of people!! I am PROUD to be associated with all of you.
Collectively WE ROCK!!!!
