Next MLPA Meetings Apr 11-12; MLPA update
« on: February 27, 2005, 10:39:40 am »
The MLPA Blue Ribbon Task Force's next meeting will take place Monday April 11 and Tuesday April 12. According to the state's MLPA website, the meeting location has not been announced. The Task Force met last week in Monterey, where the agenda called for the Central California Study Area to be selected. Too few Task Force members were at the meeting to form a quorum, so the selection of the Study Area was put off until the upcoming April meeting. When the meeting location is available, the KFASC will publicize the information.

Monday Feb 28 is reportedly the final day to submit public comments on the MLPA Draft Master Plan Framework. Get the document here: http://www.dfg.ca.gov/mrd/mlpa/pdfs/agenda2_022205.pdf

If you can get the time off and are interested in learning what we can do as recreational anglers to influence the political process and especially the MLPA, come to the Angler's Caucus at Fred Hall Long Beach this Thurs, March 3 from 11:30-1:00. More information is available here: http://www.unitedanglers.com/press_releases/2005/fh05release.pdf
