Friends in helpful places

As some of you know, I spent nearly a year out of work after getting laid off last year. While unemployed, I sent out applications for jobs all over the place.

I am now back at my old job, but  have been continuing the processing on one of the jobs I applied for in June of 2010. My final interview and tests are  this week.

Wish me luck.

The job?     Warden with the California dept. of Fish and Game

Don't hate me, just know that if it works out, you will have someone who shares your interests and thoughts out there making a difference.

I hope you get it! DFG officers have always been friendly and helpful to me. Great attitude and a service to fishermen thought process would be great Good luck!!!

Good luck and be careful! That is turning into a very dangerous job nowadays...

And teach your fellow wardens when you start how to ID fish correctly!

FYI:  They do call the references and previous employers you list.  The questions mainly focus on a persons demeanor.  Good luck

I knew this bunch would see it as a bonus for our shared interests.

Things are going well, A few more tests left. (Physical and psychological)

Preliminary Job assignment= Saltwater Patrol Boat, stationed in the SF Bay.

We'll have to work on a secret handshake or wave, so I know it's one of you. 

good luck! that is a great job to have it seems, you should be able to pass if you had the job before.. we are easily identified by the NCKA and the We support our DFG WARDEN stickers that are on our yaks..
